Cutest Little Box Bag Evah!!

I’ve been wanting to make one of these for years.  Ever since I got one from a student that I’d helped out at Berkeley. It’s held all those small things that have a tendency to drop into that black hole that all bags have.  That original bag is long since gone and I cannot tell you how many lipsticks, chapsticks, Lego minifigures, and sewing notions I have lost for MONTHS in my bags.

And finally, finally, I found a method and figured out a ratio for making these really awesome little box bags.  I had some time yesterday and spare zipper and some fabric leftovers that I’ve hanging onto for years because they are so cool I just can’t throw them away.  A tutorial will be coming when I have more time and I’m not getting ready for our annual Accessories Trunk Show. (December 14th and 15th!  2:30-6pm both days! Cate’s House! Bring your friends and your gift lists!!)

In the meantime,  CUTENESS!

A nice neat top zip that give plenty of room to put things in and get things out.

Perfect little box for everything.

And since I’ve figured out the magic ratio for the fabric sizes I can make them larger squares or longer rectangles.  And I *will* be making more to have at the Show.  I took this into H’s school today and the teachers kept petting it like it was a kitten.  Come early to the show because these are going to go fast!
