Moda sells some really cute 5-inch squares called “Charm Packs”. They are like samples of every fabric from one of their collections. Like any fabric junkie, I picked up a couple of packs to experiment with/on.
I found a pattern for a neat shopping bag at one of my favorite quilt shops and decided that my Make Life…. Charm Pack would be perfect. I picked up some liner fabric and some fusible fleece and voila!
It is really, really cute (IMHO) and quite large inside. I’m definitely going to make some more.
Edited to add: I did make some more! I’ve loaded pictures of the one I just finished today in the slide show above!
I am really loving the fall colors and the tree pattern on this bag. I have another stack of this kind of charm pack and I’m debating doing a quilt or another bag. What to do, what to do. I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually.
Until then, I’ll be doing some hand quilting around some applique on my Pinwheels and Ponies baby quilt. I’m sure that will keep me busy.
