I can finally tell you all my great news!
My short story AITA for Using My Husband’s Hobby to Teach Him a Lesson has been published in the MYOPIC DUPLICITY anthology!

Here’s the verbiage from the official release memo:
Curated and edited by Jeff Circle, the creator of The Writer’s Dossier, a revered multimedia showcase featuring both established and emerging talent in the crime and thriller genres, this anthology brings together an impressive collection of stories from some of the best modern crime thriller writers working today. Each narrative unearths the hidden complexities that drive individuals to make troubling choices in the name of loyalty, revenge, or survival, exposing the intricate interplay between right and wrong.
As characters confront their own ethical boundaries, they reveal the nuances of human behavior and the often-blurred lines that define them. This anthology challenges readers to consider how desperation can shape decisions, leading to moments where the ‘right’ choice becomes obscured by the weight of circumstance.
In Myopic Duplicity, the characters’ journeys invite introspection, pushing readers to question their own values and the potential consequences of their actions. With each tale, the anthology crafts a vivid exploration of the human psyche, illustrating that sometimes the most compelling conflicts arise not from external forces, but from within.

My story is narrated by Hillary Huber, y’all!! She’s the same person who narrated my novel HER DYING DAY. I love her. Her voice is so perfect for this story of martial conflict. I absolutely cannot wait to hear it.
The Kindle is available now. Paperback, along with the audio, is coming soon.
I’ll be reading a very, very abridged version of this story at the Morally Grey Noir at the Bar this Thursday at 7:30pm in New Orleans. The line-up is a banger, so prepare to be entertained!

And on Wednesday (which comes before Thursday everywhere, but in my brain) we’re celebrating the launch of MYOPIC DUPLICITY at the Backspace Bar & Kitchen, also in New Orleans at 7:30pm.

What a great way to go into Bouchercon! I hope to see you there and let me know what you think of my little story about revenge between married peoples.
